However, this development has created potential health problems by introducing a somewhat new facet to the environment: the hazards of exposure to ionizing radiation.

The possibility of exposure to tiny doses of enviromental radiation, as well as the possibility of catasthropic accidents, is responsible for the increasing fear concerning the construction of atomic powered lectric plants around the country.

Dangerous amounts of radioactive particles may be scattered over the earth by the explosion of atomic or hydrogen (thermonuclear) bombs. The international nuclear test-ban treaty has greatly reduced radiation fallout from the atmosphere. Furthermore, these hazards are monitored and evaluated by well-trained scientist who from time to time supply from the public with information and advice. As yet, the amount of radiation exposure from fallout does not equal ordinary "background" radiation from the ground, cosmic rays, stone or brick buildings, people, etc.

The destructive power of atomic and thermonuclear bombs and the harmful effects of the radiation which they generate upon all living things are well known. however, x-rays and radioactive chemical are essential for medical diagnosis and treatment, and nuclear reactors are being built as sources of power for many uses. This is desirable progress. But the possible harmful effects of radiation from these sources presents a continuing health problem of tremendous importance.

Gue mutusin buat berhenti kuliah di semester satu ini malah gue sampai sakit demam keras dibuatnya. jadinya gue gak masuk selama satu bulan lebih dan gue gak punya surat keterangan sakit -sementara sedang diurus doain moga diterima- yang gue sekarang takutkan adalah gue gak lolos evaluasi empat semester dan otomatis gue minggat dari UNHAS tercinta. ya, karna gue berpikiran lagi buat kuliah.

Kenapa loe pake Linux?

Mayoritas komputer di dunia pake Microsoft Windows, walaupun gw gak tau berapa percentasenya. Tapi Microsoft dapat dikatakan merupakan Sistem Operasi yang memonopoli pasar Operating Sistem di dunia.

Tapi gw gak peduli mungkin karena semangat ‘anti kemapanan’ atau mungkin ada sebagian orang yang nganggep make sistem operasi Linux merupakan sebuah perlawanan terhadap ‘kapitalisme’. Gw gak peduli yang penting gw merasa nyaman pake GNU/Linux atau orang lebih suka dengan nyebutnya Linux aja.

Apa sih Linux itu? Well mungkin sudah banyak dibahas, Linux adalah sebuah Sistem Operasi yang diciptakan oleh Linux Tovalds seorang mahasiswa Universitas Helsinki. Pada tahun 1991 Linux Tovalds sedang mempelajari MINIX, sebuah mini Operating System yang menyerupai UNIX. MINIX beroperasi di atas Intel 386. Tidak puas dengan limisati yang terdapat pada MINIX, Linus menciptakan OS baru dengan inspirasi dari buku “The Design of The Unix Operating System” karangan Maurice Bach (Prentis Hall, 1986). Linux akhirnya disebarkan secara gratis di Internet beserta source codenya, kemudian Linux dikembangkan dengan bantuan banyak programer dan paker UNIX di Internet sampai saat ini.

Pada awal gw tertarik Linux yang merupakan Unix clone, adalah karena pada waktu kecil gw pernah denger sebuah sistem operasi selain DOS dan Windows 3.1 yang diklaim lebih ‘powerfull’ yaitu UNIX. Sistem UNIX ini dikenal multiuser, multitasking, dsb tapi jarang digunakan oleh orang biasa karena memerlukan mesin khusus dan sangat mahal.

Nah setelah beberapa tahun kemudian gw denger tentang sebuah sistem operasi UNIX clone yang ‘gratis’, ‘open source’? (pada waktu itu gw belum begitu paham tentang open source) dan dikalaim ‘powerfull’ sebagai sebuah alternatif dari sistem operasi komersial yang ada setelah mengikuti talkashow tentang Linux waktu pameran komputer di CCC ( Celebes Convention Center)Makassar dan membaca beberapa artikel di majalah komputer.

Linux yang di katakan dikerjakan dan dibuat oleh banyak orang yang bekerja sama melalui jaringan internet ini juga menarik perhatian gw. Kesannya Linux merupakan suatu sistem operasi yang ‘demokratis’ karena merupakan kumpulan sekian banyak pikiran manusia yang dikolaborasikan melalui internet untuk menghasilkan sesuatu yang berguna bagi sesama.

Baiklah pertama kali menginstall Linux adalah distro RedHat 6.0 bonus dari sebuah buku yg gw beli di Gramedia. Di CD RedHat 6.0 itu akhirnya kuinstall, didalamnya ternyata cukup lengkap, sudah termasuk KDE 2, Gnome tapi window manager yang paling gw suka adalah AfterStep.

Begitulah pengalaman awal gw memakai Linux, akhirnya setelah berganti2 distro dan mencoba berbagai macam disto Linux akhirnya distro Linux yang gw pakai saat ini adalah Edubuntu 6.06 LTS yang Cdnya gw dapet dari internet secara gratis ( http://shipit.edubuntu.org ).

Dan keliatanya Linux akan semakin ‘matang’ dan asik buat digunakan di komputer desktop, laptop dan server setiap orang menurutku. Misalnya apabila kamu mengenal Linux dan user interfacenya sudah sejak dulu mungkin akan mengerti gimana perkembangan yang pesat dari user interface di Linux, KDE dan Gnome. Dan kalau melihat user interface Linux saat ini gw nganggep Linux sudah semakin matang dan dewasa karena mempunya style sendiri yg dapat disejajarin bahkan lebih baik dari user interface OS lain seperti Mac dan Windows (XP dan juga Vista).

Apa yg gw harepin bahwa di masa depan Linux dapat lebih banyak digunakan lagi dan tentu saja harus tetap membumi karena Linux diciptakan suatu komunitas tentu saja harus mengerti akan kebutuhan lokal karena tersedianya source code menyebabkan Linux dapat diubah sesuai dengan kamauan kita.

Dan akhirnya kesan yg ditimbulkan bahwa Linux sulit atau Linux hanya spesial buat para geek adalah anggapan yg gak bener. Dengan melihat banyaknya distro Linux sekarang yang sangat mudah buat diinstall. Dan bahkan dapat dijalankan langsung tanpa diinstall ke harddisk seperti bayak distro yang installernya dapat berfungsi juga sebagai Live CD adalah satu kelebihan dari Linux yang gak terdapat di OS lainnya.

Saran gw bagi yang mau mencoba Linux mulailah dengan membeli sebuah distro Live CD misalnya: Knopix, PCLinuxOS, dll dan coba mejalankanya di komputer kamu. Selamat mencoba Linux!

Komputer tanpa operateing system tidak akan jalan. Windows dan linux adalah operateing system yang paling banyak digunakan orang. Lalu yang mana yang lebih bagus?
Sekilas tentang kedua operateing system itu :

1. Windows
Siapa tidak tahu Windows? Operateing system milik microsoft ini mungkin adalah operateing system yang paling banyak digunakan orang. Bahkan di sekolah (indonesia) pertamakali diajarkan windows. Dan orang mungkin setahu awam windows adalah satu-satunya operateing system. Wahwahwah, dan aku pun menggunakan windows (bajakan tentunya hehehe). Dan keterangan lebih lanjut baca ini.

2. Linux
Ubuntu adalah linux pertama yang aku tahu. Linux adalah operateing yang system open source dan pastinya gratis dong. Linux sangat banyak macamnya seperti ubuntu, mint, red hat, DSL, edubuntu, dan masih banyak lagi. Ada yang khusus buat orang tua (lansia), pelajar, hacker, dan lain-lain. Linux dikembangkan tahun 1960-an. Dan keterangan lengkap baca ini.

Dan perbandingan keduanya adalah :

1. Popularitas
Tidak diragukan windows menang dalam hal ini. Hampir semua orang tau windows tapi belum tentu tau linux.

2. User Friendly
Dan windows lah yang paling banyak digunakan. Tampilannya simple dan gampang digunakan.

3. Performance
Dengan komputer sama, linux lebih cepat menjalankan aplikasi. Apalagi internetnya, tentu lebih cepat daripada windows.

4. Keamanan
Linux (hampir) tidak ada virusnya. Sedang windows virusnya sejagad. Dari ini saja sudah keren. Tambah lagi katanya linux susah dihack. Jadi aman dong!

5. Software dan Driver
Software windows (.exe) sejagad. Sedang linux (.dmg) belum banyak. Tapi tenang, linux punya aplikasi namanya WINE (windows emulator). Jadi software windows bisa jalan di linux. Kalau drivernya mungkin sama.
Dan kesimpulannya kalau pemula mending pakai windows. Gampang dipakai, softwarenya sejagad, banyak CD (bajakan) dijual di pinggir jalan. Tapi kalau jadi hacker atau administrator mending pakai linux. Tidak ada virus dan susah dihack, internet cepat, performa oke.

Those, who are interested in earning money online by sharing files, should make sure they've read my previous articles, which concern this work from home niche.

In my previous entries I did tell you the structure of this method and gave you some examples of my work. If you still haven't decided, which files to download, just create a blog, which covers various download areas (I will stick to my Blogger.com templates niche).

Now, when I've covered the basics, I will tell you how I actually created my free website (at first, then moved it to self hosted Wordpress, as I've already mentioned), what monetization methods I used and which free file hosting websites I used to get the highest revenue.

Step 1: Finally decide on what you are going to use are your file sharing material. I will stick to my blogger templates niche, you can do that too, but competition is getting pretty nasty here (that's why I quit this).

Step 3: If you are using the free templates method, you might want to check out various "theme gallery" skins, which will make your website look like a professionally designed theme showcase. Step 4: Create your file packs and upload them to free file hosting websites.

Uploading.com – as for me the best website for earning money with your uploads. Here you get paid 10$ for 1000 downloads from the USA and Russia, 2-5$ for the same amount of downloads from European countries (you can find out for sure on their website or in my previous review of this program). Current program made me some money, and I think that this one is worth using for almost every country.

DepositFiles.com – pretty good program, but for traffic from Russia and the USA. Here you get paid more money for larger files (I think from 2$ to 15$ per 1000 downloads). I didn't make enough money with this program, though I had more downloads here (the reason is that my files were just 2-5MB).

Letitbit.net – paying for pure traffic from Russia and United States. They are paying 15$ per 1000 downloads, but I had no luck with this program at all. Maybe it is just because of the niche I picked.

Now, when you are ready with your website, add some Google Adsense advertising and start promoting your blog or link on Web2.0 properties, free blogs and public forums. This method should work out for you, if you are good in finding the places, where you can promote.

1st Step To Making Money Online By Sharing Files

Earning money with file hosting is a lot of fun, and I might have got you excited by my previous post about earning money on the net. It was sort of a introduction post to "making money with files" series, so I will continue developing my idea hoping that you already know the advantages of Uploading.com and DepositFiles.com.

In my little experiment I proved that anyone can earn cash by sharing files, but there are several things your Internet income will depend on (if you decide to use this technique):

1) The amount of effort you plan to invest – as I've told you before, you can earn even without having a website or by creating a free website. In my situation, I did buy a domain for a project and later moved off Blogger.com to the self hosted Wordpress website, which gave me higher Adsense CTR.

2) The niche you pick – some niches tend to be over saturated or hard to find material for. You can always go for any niche you want, but if you plan to make money fast, try to find the one, which has a lot of potential visitors, but no competitors. I won't recommend you some sort of warez downloads (unless you are doing some good promotion on public forums and blogs).

3) Competition – as I have already mentioned just now, the less competitors you have, the more money you can make (some specific niches don't have competitors, but don't generate downloads either).

In my situation – my niche was just perfect. Know why? Not even 60% of Blogger.com know that they can use .xml templates on their blogs, so they stick to default ones. As for the competition, it's pretty wear too considering the fact that bloggers just start spearing the rumors about this, so no one really knows.

If you are still wondering what you can try sharing, here are some ideas:

# Stuff for bloggers and webmasters – create packs of top 10 (whatever number of) plug-in, template, software, vector, PSD, CMS list (with files included in the archive). Personally, I tend to look for Top 10 lists on the net, so this is a killer mix.

Answer to a question:

"Why can't we just download 10 files instead of one top 10 list? We can get 10 times as much!"

Well, the reason why I asked you, whether you know anything about Uploading.com earlier in this post. The deal is that you get paid only for files larger then 2MB (ten files will give you something like 10-20 megs). As for the second statement – file sharing websites changed their policies, and now they pay only for 1 download from a single account (you get credit just for 1 file from 1 ip every 24 hours, I know it sucks). The problem can be solved by multiple accounts, but it makes this method more complex, and I wouldn't really like to get caught (better safe then sorry).

# Wallpapers and various graphics

# Short movies, clips or stuff connected with some artist or rock start

# Literary everything you can think of or promote

In conclusion to this post, I recommend you at least to try out earning money with this stuff. Picking niche is very important, but creating a promotional website and actually promoting your links is more complex. We'll talk about that make money online technique later.

After running this make money online blog, IncomeBooster.org, I've been setting up some arrangements for the future development. But after seeing how much competition I have, I guess I've lost all of my enthusiasm and for now I just contribute to this weblog as much as I can (considering the fact that I'm usually pressed for time).

These several years, showed me what Internet business is all about. That's why I'm still testing all work from home opportunities on the net (preferably low cost or free ones).

Telling the truth, when I created this resource, making money with file sharing wasn't yet invented (or I just didn't know about this work from home opportunities). I never thought that this method can earn you a lot of cash, unless you can create and drive traffic to a huge warez or dirty-movies website.

But I did change my overall impression about getting paid for uploads, when Uploading.com launched and Letitbit.net raised the stakes to 15 bucks per 1000 downloads. And now, when I did some research on this work from home niche (actually it's one of the most popular ways to generate extra cash in European countries, that's where I live at the moment, but I never paid a lot of attention to it, as I've already stated), I can clearly tell – there are a lot of money to be made with your free websites.

I think, I've already reviewed the methods of earning with Uploading.com and DepositFiles.com in my previous posts, so this guide will cover some things about the actual earning process. Just let's get started:

What are file sharing websites and how do they afford to pay users?

This is one of the most common questions my friends asked me about earning cash with uploading. Paid file hosting companies like Uploading.com (so far the most profitable program for me) pay users just like you and me to use their free file hosting.

We host our files on their servers for free and promote our download links (in order to make money with our files), free file hosting owners place an insane amount of advertising blocks (which generates them a lot of cash, part of which is paid to us). But it's not the largest income stream there is with file hosting – for faster downloads, they offer our visitors (the ones who come to download files) premium memberships.

These memberships cost about 50-100$ for a year, and if your download link visitors buy that, you get a cut too. Just don't think these are scam, free file hosting service is a profitable business, I must say, so administrators know what they are doing (no wonder there are more and more file sharing companies being created). All in all, they can pay users good money and still earn make enough cash to pay off hosting management bills.

Usually, such programs pay users 5-15 dollars per 1000 downloads (prices depends on the country, file is being downloaded from). Such payment adds up to one penny per download, but I'm 100% sure that pop-under advertising generates minimum five times this amount (it's not always a scam, but you can't trust everyone on the net, so just be careful and feel free to ask for an advice).

As soon as you find the right website, which is paying users for uploads, you should think if you want to earn money uploading files yourself or promote your referral link to receive good affiliate commissions for that.

If you do decide to share files yourself, pick the niche you want to work in (it's very important, because you got to understand what your potential down loaders may want or need – warez and p0rn stuff really attracts a lot of visitors to your link, but I like to play it safe). When I tested this method I tried to make money sharing free blogger templates.

Approaching my goal, I created several packs of "Top 40 or whatever themes for blogger.com", made a free, but nice looking blog and started posting my packs. Several days later, I found some forums and websites, that may be interested in my newly created website with links to file hosting websites, that pay for uploads.

Leaving comments and posting new threads did take some time, but all in all I've made some good money in my first days of work. After several weeks of posting comment and forum replies (was taking me 20 minutes a day), I ended up quitting this thing to check out how much money I made:

Google Adsense – $16.20

Uploading.com – $14.39

Depositfiles.com – $5.07

Letitbit.net – $0.07

Total: $35+

Posting on forums and Web 2.0 websites did give some benefits and people were hitting my website like crazy (it was smart of me to add Google Adsense advertising below the download links – users just checked out ads, while looking for download links).

As you see, all theme packs where downloaded to three file hosting services, and I really found out that one of them sucks big time. But anyways, other two, did pretty well I must say.

In my future posts I will try to give you more information about this method of earning money in your spare time. I did this just for fun, and these 35+ bucks didn't hurt my online earnings. But I'm telling this, so you can understand that this is scalable and you can start without website, as well as with free or paid blog.

For me, earning money online, is really a lot of fun, and the real reason for this is – I don't rely on my earnings, and don't recommend to set yourself some plans for your online earnings (because when you have a lot to take care of, you miss the fun part, just remember that you don't have to do everything yourself – outsource). This helps to make sure that search engine spiders can actually find (crawl) all of your site's pages. But if they can not find them, then they won't get spidered, and this means that they won't get indexed. In fact, no amount of search engine optimization you try will help.

Spiders can not see links which are accomplished by JavaScript. This is because, as far as search engines will be concerned, they do not exist. So if you want spiders to follow the links on your site, do not use JavaScript. In fact, you will find that Google will not spider any URL if it looks like it has a session ID in it.
So any URL's that have a longish number or odd characters (such as a question mark) in them should be avoided (these are often dynamic URL's).

It is important that you make sure that all pages link to at least one other page. Pages which do not link out are known as "dangling links". It is important that you structure the internal links so that targeted search terms are reinforced. So make sure that you organize your links so that your topic's sub topic pages are
linked to it (ensuring that you use the right link text that is specific to the page being linked to) and vice versa. See below for the different types of methods we mean.

Link Text (<a href="url">whatever text</a>

This is one of the 2 most important elements to ensure good rankings for a site. It can either be on pages within the site, or on other sites' pages. But which ever way you do it, it is important that it is included. It is vital that you include the target page's main search term in the link text. You will find that some search engines, such as Google no longer display the description like they use to. But no matter what, you should include this on each page for those search engines that do. There are even the odd times when Google will actually display them. So it is vital that you write a description that is appealing and incorporates the page's search term into it at least once but preferably twice is better. So if you can, place one at the start or as near to the start of the description as possible.

Keywords Tag <meta="keywords" content="whatever keywords">

It is important to remember that the keywords tag is never actually treated by search engines as keywords. They will be treated as text on a page. Although this tag is not effective as it used to be, there is no reason to leave it out. Instead, make sure that you put in plenty of relevant keywords and include the search term once at the front of the tag. Also, you do not need to separate keywords or key phrases with commas (as is often done) as search engines ignore these.

H Tag <H#>whatever heading words</H#>

The "#" in this tag represents a number from 1 to 6. The biggest heading is represented by 1. You will find that H tags are given more weight than ordinary text in a page, and so the bigger the H size, the more weight it will have. So it is important that you include your target search term in the H tags at least once on the page, but if possible two or three times is even better. Also place your first H Tag as near to the top of the site page as possible.

Bold Text
This gives more weight to a page than ordinary text, but not as much as an H Tag does. So where ever possible, enclose the search term in bold tags occasionally where it appears on the page. This works really well, when earning money with blogs, because readers catch the keyword phrases easily.

Normal Text
Whenever possible, use the search term as often as you can on the pages of your site. But ensure that they do not detract from how the page actually reads. Ensure that you use the term once or twice in the very early pages of the body text, and then as often as possible throughout. If you need to, reword small parts and add sentences to ensure that the search term is well represented in the text for good search engine optimization.
But you will probably find that each word you have in your search term will be found separately on the page. So, if you need to, add a few of them throughout the page.

Include your search term in the alt text of all images on your pages. It is important to remember that some systems, such as those used by Braille readers and speech synthesizers, use the alt text. So it may be advisable to make them usable while including the search term.

Yeah, I would probably choose working in my comfortable apartment, rather then spending hours in the office, offices are so tiring!
